Season 2 (from 15 October 2026). Prices and unlock levels are from the official Season 2 patch notes. Early Access changes fast: if a number looks off, check it in game and tell us in the comments.
Body armour
| Level | Price | Unlock | Weight | Damage reduction | Durability | Covers |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $400 | WARDOG 3 | 3 kg | 30% | 200 | torso |
| 2 | $1,000 | WARDOG 30 | 4.5 kg | 40% | 220 | torso |
| 3 | $2,500 | WARDOG 70 (was 60) | 10.5 kg | 50% (was 55%) | 250 | torso |
| 4 | $5,000 | WARDOG 100 | 18 kg | 60% (was 65%) | 300 | torso, pelvis, upper arms |
Legs are never covered, which is why leg shots with hollow-point ammo work so well.
Helmets
| Level | Price | Unlock | Weight | Damage reduction | Durability | Covers |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $200 | WARDOG 3 | – | 30% | 80 | head |
| 2 | $500 | WARDOG 30 | 1.6 kg | 40% | 100 | head |
| 3 | $2,000 | WARDOG 70 | 3 kg | 50% | 180 | head, neck |
| 4 | $4,500 | WARDOG 100 | 4.5 kg | 60% | 200 | head, neck |
Season 2 helmet changes: the Level 4 helmet now muffles sound and proximity chat, narrows your field of view and fogs up when you sprint. In return, Level 3 and 4 helmets reduce suppression by 68% and 80%. For most players a Level 3 helmet is the better deal.
Damage reduction, durability, coverage and weights are read from the game files (build 25937608). The Level 1 helmet has no weight in the files.
Which level to buy
- Moving a lot (medic, flanker, driver, pilot): Level 1 or 2. Weight costs speed and stamina.
- Fighting and moving (assault, mobile support): Level 2 or 3.
- Holding a position (support gunner, defending a FOB): Level 3 or 4.
- A better helmet with lighter armour is a common way to save weight.
Vests (no protection!)
Tac-vests carry no armour. They unlock quickslots and speed up reloads and utility items: the Small Tac Vest ($100, 0.82 kg) opens slots 5–6, the Medium Tac Vest ($250, 1.65 kg, WARDOG 14) slots 5–8 and the Large Tac Vest ($400, 3.6 kg, WARDOG 50) all of them, up to 0. Without a vest only slot 4 is usable.
Backpacks
You need a backpack before you can buy ammo or a parachute. Items take their in-game size in the grid (a rifle magazine 1×2, a stack of loose ammo 2×1, a 93mm rocket 3×1).
| Backpack | Slots | Price | Unlock |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pouch | 6, items standing up only | free | – |
| Small Backpack | 8 | $350 | – |
| Field Backpack | 12 | $650 | WARDOG 12 |
| Medium Backpack | 15 | $800 | WARDOG 20 |
| Assault Backpack | 21 | $1,200 | WARDOG 32 |
| Large Backpack | 24 | $1,600 | WARDOG 55 |
| Medium Backpack + Sling | storage + 1 sling | $1,400 | – |
| Large Backpack + Sling | storage + 1 sling | $2,400 | WARDOG 73 |
| Large Backpack + 2 Slings | storage + 2 slings | $4,000 | WARDOG 150 |
A sling carries an additional weapon or spec. item.
Weight classes
The vendor shows your total weight and class live. The game files set the steps at 10 kg (Light), 17 kg (Medium), 27 kg (Heavy) and 40 kg (Super Heavy):
| Class | From | Max speed | Stamina regeneration | Aim-down-sights time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lightest | 0 kg | – | – | – |
| Light | 10 kg | −5% | −15% | +5% |
| Medium | 17 kg | −12.5% | −35% | +6% |
| Heavy | 27 kg | −20% | – | +15% |
| Super Heavy | 40 kg | −20% | – | +17% |
Each step also adds aim sway and lowers your jump; from Heavy on, leaning takes 50% longer. Several players report that Heavy kits lose tactical sprint. The loadout planner in every build shows the class.
