Season 2 (from 15 October 2026). Prices and unlock levels are from the official Season 2 patch notes. Early Access changes fast: if a number looks off, check it in game and tell us in the comments.

Spotting is still the core

Aim down sights with binoculars, a monocular or a range finder and hold until the box fills. You earn when the spotted target dies. In Season 2 spotting pays about 30% less and scales with the value of the target, so spot vehicles, buildables and crates as well as infantry. Rain shortens spotting range.

Spotting tools got more expensive: binoculars $180, monocular $350, Range Finder $1,450 (Recon 8), Infrared Range Finder $3,200 (Recon 32, now runs on batteries for about 80 seconds of use).

Recon rifles in Season 2

LevelWeaponPrice
5SKS$2,400
10Mosin Nagant (only with its PU 91/30 3.5x scope)$4,500
12SVD$4,800
16Compound Bow$1,350
18SV98$5,200
20BMR-308$6,250
25M14$7,400
30MK22$6,400
35AMR 50$14,800

The Scout Rifle ($1,200) now one-shots targets without a helmet in the head. DMRs lost damage in Season 2 (calibre cuts and a recoil pass), while bolt-action sniper rifles got more hit-location damage.

Shooting and hiding

  • Zeroing goes in 100 m steps. Range landmarks before the fight and hold over between the marks.
  • Hide, do not perch. Bushes and roadsides beat obvious rooftops. The Ghillie suit (Recon 26) helps.
  • Move after a few shots.
  • Be patient: players coming back for a revive are easy targets.
  • Many snipers run without armour to stay light; a parachute helps on high ground.
