PKM support gunner: suppress the zone
The PKM unlocks at Support 15 in Season 2. With its bipod, a low optic and a Level 3 helmet it pins enemies down while your team moves.

Why this build
- Season 2 made suppression much stronger from near misses, and an LMG fires more near misses than anything else. Level 3 helmets cut suppression by 68%, which is why this kit pairs one with lighter armour.
- The PKM moved from Support 30 down to 15, the M249 from 15 up to 20.
- The PKM Bipod (Support 17) trades mobility for a very stable burst: deploy it, then stay put for a while.
- A 100-round box weighs 3.9 kg. The kit lands in the Heavy weight class, so pick your spot before the fight, not during it.
How to play it
Set up on a flank of the zone with a long view, fire controlled bursts at enemies crossing open ground and let your team move while heads are down. Long bursts give away your position: fire, then shift a few metres. Build a sandbag or two with the hammer if you hold a spot.
Alternatives
M249 SAW at Support 20 (accepts STANAG magazines). The Evo-3 Ultra (.308) at Support 30 ($7,250) is the heavy option.
