Always carry something to spot with
Binoculars cost $180 and every spotted target that dies pays you. In Season 2, valuable targets pay more.

Aim down sights with binoculars, a monocular or a range finder and hold until the box fills. When the target dies, you get paid and earn Recon XP.
- Season 2 cut spotting rewards by about 30% but made them scale with the value of the target. Spot tanks, armed vehicles, buildables and crates, not only soldiers.
- If an enemy faction destroys what you spotted, you get 25% of the reward.
- Rain shortens spotting range.
- Never leave the gadget slot empty: even a broke kit can earn by spotting.
