Why this build

  • The AK74 is unlocked by default and costs $800 in Season 2, so losing it does not hurt. It comes with its 30-round magazine.
  • The Kobra Reflex (1.2x, WARDOG 4) aims faster than iron sights; the Birdcage Flash Hider is the first muzzle on the Assault track (Assault 2).
  • Armour before attachments. Level 1 armour and helmet stop the cheapest deaths.
  • Binoculars pay for the kit. They sit in the spec. item slot: spot enemies between fights and every spotted kill pays you an assist.
  • White smoke unlocks at Medic 5. Until then the frag is the better use of the second quickslot; the After Medic 5 variant adds the smoke, the Angled Tactical Foregrip (unlocked from the start) and a Small Backpack with room for two spare magazines.

How to play it

Stay with your team at the edge of the control zone, fight at short to medium range and leave the long sightlines to marksmen. Refill your magazine from loose ammo instead of buying more magazines: the pouch holds one spare and a stack of rounds.

Upgrade path

Galil at Assault 10, the CQR Tactical Front Rail Grip at Assault 14, the 2.5x Combat Optic at Assault 17, Level 2 armour at WARDOG 30. See the Galil mid-game build.
